In digital language and communication teaching, relationships are formed through various communication acts that respond to different needs. Online teaching can be based on synchronous, simultaneous interaction, or asynchronous, nonsimultaneous communication and learning. Both approaches, and their combinations, can yield not only learning outcomes but also meaningful relationships.
